Innovations in Photodynamic Therapy: A CME-Certified Online Training Video
This training video provides up-to-date information on using photodynamic therapy to treat common dermatologic conditions, including actinic keratoses, acne, sebaceous hyperplasia, flat warts, and facial rejuvenation.
This educational activity is designed for US-based dermatologists and other US-based physicians who specialize in the treatment of dermatologic conditions.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the pathophysiology and diagnosis criteria of actinic keratosis (AKs).
- Describe the mechanism of action of photodynamic therapy using aminolevulinic acid (ALA-PDT).
- Compare and contrast the safety and efficacy of ALA-PDT for treatment of AKs with other currently available therapies.
- Understand the incubation times necessary for the different applications of ALA-PDT.
- Discuss the use of photodynamic therapy using aminolevulinic acid in the treatment of acne, sebaceous hyperplasia, flat warts, and facial rejuvenation.
