The 34th Annual Meeting of the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (SPD) was held July 9 – 12, 2008, at the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort in Snowbird, Utah. This CME activity addresses the use of dermal fillers and botulinum toxin to optimize outcomes in a patient following gastric bypass surgery and
weight loss of 100 pounds. The patient had not previously undergone any cosmetic procedure to the face nor received neurotoxin or
dermal filler injections. The patient expressed a desire to eliminate the fine lines and deep creases in her face and restore
lost volume in her cheeks and lower face as well as slightly increasing the volume to her lips.
